Tailored solutions for your business

Our secret sauce? We come in person so we can see firsthand how we can help, then we research and bring you practical, tailored solutions. We can also help with implementation and training.

On-site shadowing

We spend time alongside your people on the floor to find the biggest savings, the ones nobody thinks to mention in a meeting.

  • Shadowing for the specific roles you choose or what we recommend
  • A plain-language map of where time and money go
  • Minimal disruption to your normal schedule
  • Guided by interviews with your key people beforehand

Then we plan your solutions

We take what we learned in your initial consultation, interviews with your key people, and our time on your floor, and put together recommendations for your business. We start with proven, existing tools, and help you build out custom solutions when nothing else fits. Depending on what we find, your plan can include any mix of:

Utilize AI providers

Hands-on training that teaches your team to use the major AI providers in their everyday workflows: assistants like Claude and ChatGPT, AI assistants in Google Workspace and Google Sheets, AI in Microsoft 365, and AI in the browser, like the Claude Chrome extension.

  • In-person sessions built around your real tasks
  • Role-specific guides built for your key business workflows
  • Optional follow-up sessions as people get comfortable and want to dive deeper

Integrate AI tools

Most of the time, the right tool already exists. The trick is knowing which one fits, setting it up well, and training your people. We connect it to the software you already use and make sure your team is ready to get the most out of it.

For each recommendation we'll give you a list of options, or you can let us choose. In some cases we may be able to offer special deals or discounts with some AI providers. Our recommendations will always be about what is best for your business, and you are in charge if you have a preference.

  • Partner pricing when available
  • Setup, accounts, and permissions handled for you
  • Integration with your existing systems
  • Training sessions for key people who will run it day to day

Build custom software

Sometimes no existing software fits your needs. In those cases, we build custom software together with the employee or team you choose to own it, saving hours your current tools can't. Your people stay in the driver's seat, so you can own, maintain, and grow your custom solutions for years to come.

  • Built with the employee or team you choose
  • Your team can maintain it and add features
  • We help you find affordable hosting options

Guaranteed to pay for itself

If the savings from our work don't cover what you paid us within 36 months, we'll give you a full refund.

Savings are measured over the first 36 months after implementation and documented together with you. Full terms are included in every proposal.

Convinced yet? Here's the play-by-play

Five steps from a first conversation to a clear plan, then the work you choose, in parallel or one after another depending on scope.

  1. 30 minutes

    Free initial consultation

Learn more about our services. Tell us about your business, where you suspect inefficiencies, and where you'd like to try AI. If it sounds like a good fit, we'll discuss next steps.

  2. 3 to 4 hours

    Interviews with key people

Some of your key employees may already have insights around inefficiencies or areas that can be enhanced with AI tools. We meet with them to gather these insights so our in-person shadowing can be strategically directed. These interviews are typically virtual, though they can also be in person.

  3. 1 to 3 days

    On-site shadowing

Based on what we learn, we recommend roles to shadow, and we can also shadow roles you choose. We come in person to shadow key areas so we know firsthand how the work happens.

  4. About 1 week

    Research, brainstorm, and plan

Next, we organize what we learned and identify the areas where we believe AI could have the biggest impact on your bottom line. We package it all into one document with our recommendations, resources, and insights you can refer back to.

  5. 30 minutes

    Insights meeting

We walk you through our findings and our recommendations for how to use AI in your business. The rest is up to you. We can provide additional help with training and implementation, or you may decide to wait until the time is right to make changes in your business.

For the things you decide to have us help with, our services can come in one or more of the following flavors:

1 to 2 weeks

Utilize AI providers

Usually the quickest win

  1. Train Hands-on sessions on the major AI providers in everyday workflows: Claude and ChatGPT, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and AI in the browser. Sessions can be tailored to specific roles.
2 to 6 weeks

Integrate AI tools

Implement existing AI tools

  1. Integrate We work with your team and help set up the third-party AI tools you approved and connect them to your existing systems.
  2. Train Hands-on sessions for the people who will use them so that they can hit the ground running.
  3. Handoff For applicable tooling providers, we provide a first-class handoff and introduction to their team so that you can have continued support as needed down the road.
2 to 4 months

Build custom software

Our recommendation when existing tooling doesn't fit everything you need

  1. Build together We build it in short rounds side by side with the employee or team you choose to own it.
  2. Test on your floor We come back on-site to test with the people who'll use it for quick iteration.
  3. Switch over We help your team move to the new tool once it's proven.
  4. Take off the training wheels We set up your team to be fully empowered to maintain and add new features as your needs evolve.

Founder, Synaptic Enterprises

I run every engagement myself, from the first consultation to shadowing your team on the floor to handing off whatever we set up. You won't get passed along to someone you've never met.

Before starting Synaptic, I spent years building software for Utah companies and kept seeing the same thing: small businesses missing out on gains from AI that should be leveling the playing field. Synaptic exists to close that gap for businesses here at home.
